Quick Lube Technician

Position: Automotive Quick Lane Technician

Location: Trinidad, CO

Salary Range: up to $20.00 (per hour based on experience)

Phil Long Ford of Trinidad is striving to be the best Service Department in the country. We need good Quick Lane Technicians to change oil, rotate tires, and perform maintenance and safety inspections on vehicles. Job Duties:

• Performing work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with the manufacturer and/or dealership specifications
• Test-driving vehicles, and testing components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment
• Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc.
• Clearly, legibly and accurately documenting all work performed
• Communicating with the parts department to obtain needed parts
• Communicating directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed
• Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
• Executing repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications

Qualifications and Skills

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as an auto technician
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
• Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer Service Skills
