Position Summary

The Process Improvement Manager reports to the EVP PBM Services and works closely with the following teams, Account Management, Operations, Clinical Operations, Information Technology, Quality and Internal Audit, and financial Planning and Analysis, as peer, driving and owning the annual and long-term Process Improvement Plans.

Essential Roles and Responsibilities

1. Oversee strategic business projects form development through successful execution under the guidance of the EVP. 

2. Responsible for providing strategic insight and application of process improvement / reengineering methodologies & principles to conduct process modernization projects.

3. Oversees and assesses existing processes and workflows to identify areas of inefficient process and presents recommendations to enhance procedures efficiency and productivity.

4. Work with the directors to implement the improvements approved by upper management. 

5. Ensures adoption of new processes/tools by validating the creation, implementation and maintenance of the Policies and SOPs resulting from the approved recommendations.

6. Work with finance and business leaders on staffing modes, forecasting, savings, etc.

7. Ensure initiatives are on track for timely delivery and completion.

8. Responsible for financial/work estimates of project/initiatives, budget tracking and managing expectations of those estimates. 

9. Drive implementation of “ROI” methodology in projects and programs, monthly expense monitoring in coordination with Finance. 

10. Compiling high volumes of data into easily digestible analytics, scorecards, SLA metrics, executive summaries and dashboards utilizing various reporting tools (Excel, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

11. Partner with Compliance team to successfully execute yearly audit process. 

12.  Support on-boarding lives processes, help with modeling and projections.    

13. Manage “cost per task” company monitoring to understand how costs are distributed within each department, which tasks require re-engineering and mapping this key financial indicator to organizational capacity.  

14.  Contributes to departmental efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.


Professional Experience and Skills Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or health related field. 
  • Business process improvement certification (Six Sigma Black Belt) is preferred. 
  • Project Management Certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience organizing and directing multiple teams and departments.
  • Five (5) years of in project management experience, preferred.
  • Experience planning and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Proficient in MS Office Applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, SharePoint.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI is preferred.
  • SQL database experience is preferred
  • Be able to toggle between several software programs. 
  • Fully bilingual English and Spanish.
  • Consulting experience with a focus on operations management.
  • Proven success in a project coordination role.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational ability.
  • Ability to multitask and meet constant deadlines.
