To increase member satisfaction, retention, and growth by efficiently
delivering competitive services to members and providers through a fully integrated
organization staffed by knowledgeable, customer-focused
professionals supported by exemplary technologies and processes.
Customer service focus. Basic experience in MSWord and MSExcel. Familiar with medical terminology and knowledge of medical coding. Ability to read and interpret billing documents. The position also requires an extensive amount of data entry work.
Responsible for developing and enhancing customer relationships by
responding to customer inquiries and resolving customer concerns within a
Contact Center team to meet or exceed customer service requirements
Interfaces with customers via telephone, written correspondence, fax, web,
and/or electronic mail to respond to routine inquiries and resolve concerns.
Explains member’s rights and responsibilities in accordance with contract.
Educates providers on self-service options. Researches customer
information by effectively using appropriate database in response to
inquiries including, but not limited to, authorizations, payments, denials,
coordination of benefits, and eligibility. Investigates, analyzes, and resolves
outstanding issues to achieve customer satisfaction; takes responsibility for
following through and bringing outstanding issues to closure. Maintains
complete and accurate documentation of all customer interactions. Performs
other duties as required.
Ability to maintain accuracy and production standards.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology preferred.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong listening and interpersonal skills; skilled at developing and
maintaining effective working relationships.
Effective keyboard skills; able to navigate within a computer/systemsdependent
environment without assistance; previous experience in a
windows-based computer environment preferred.
Effective organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.
Customer Service experiences in a transaction based environment such as
a call center or retail location preferred.
Experience in a production environment.
