Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION 

New Facilities Specialist support the Clinical Systems and Implemetation teams by processing patient and order data for onboarding nursing facilities or for internal Operations projects. 

Essential Functions

  • New Facilities Specialists primarly focus on onboarding processes for new incoming nursing facility customers. 
    1. Loading of resident and order data into pharmacy operating system
    2. Collation and coordination of clarifications with Implementation and Customer Success team
    3. Preparation of Controlled Substance Order forms 
  • Ancillary auditing and data entry projects assigned when onboarding processes are idle
  • Requires skill with Data Entry processing functions within the FrameworkLTC and DocuTrack applications 
  • Strong clinical skills needed for intepretation and accuracy of medication orders
    1. Experience with Controlled Substance order processing preferred, but not required
  • Able to multi-task and work with deadlines
  • Overtime hours expected with high volume of implemenations and onboarding processes
    1. High volume time periods may require work on weekends
  • Assist in defining new, and refine existing, processes and procedure to maximize efficient and consistent execution of Implemenation processes within the Clinical Systems Department
  • Other duties assigned as necessary

Supervisory Responsibility

There is no supervisory responsibility for this position
Work Environment:

This position operates in a long-term care pharmacy. This role may use standard office and/or pharmacy equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, rolling carts, fax machines and etc. A large portion of work shall be performed in the long-term care facility where the noise may be loud.

Physical Demand:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that should be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:

  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
  • The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
  • May lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Travel

Education and Experience

  • Pharmacy Technician license required
  • High school degree or GED is required
  • 2-4 years of experience in a regulated industry
  • Able to work independently as well as in a diverse, team environment
  • Able to stand on feet for 8 hours
  • Reliable, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills, professional demeanor
  • Good communication, investigation, and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiar with narcotics filling, data entry, customer service, and Healthex procedure
  • Familiar with 21 CFR, DEA compliance and regulations for narcotics
  • Prior audit experience preferred
