Under the direction of the Pharmacy Compliance Internal Auditor, the Internal Audit Specialist, Pharmacy Compliance is responsible for the on-site inspection and auditing of the organization's pharmacy operations practice sites and departments to ensure adherence to regulatory and contractual compliance requirements.Theidealcandidateisapeoplepersonwhoenjoystroubleshootingandresolvingproblems and is dedicated to helping customers.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills areessential.Key Responsibilities:Perform on-site pharmacy compliance and internal department audits confirming adherence with federal and state regulatory and corporate compliance requirements, PharmScript policies and procedures (P) and standard operating procedures (SOPs)Must be able to travel up to 75% of the time, including overnight travelConduct and complete audit survey checklists based on regulatory and corporate compliance requirements with State Boards of Pharmacy, DEA, FDA, EPA, OIG, etc.Perform scheduled audits and ad hoc audits with no rework and minimal supervision.Document all audit activities in a compliance database in accordance with department policies and/or workflowsPrepare audit results, identify trends and make recommendations for improving business processes for presentation to the Senior management teamAssist in the development and maintenance of P/SOPs regarding auditing procedures and pharmacy operations and corporate complianceEstablish and maintain effective working relationships with others throughout the organizationEnsure the privacy and security of PHI (Protected Health Information) as outlined in policies and procedures relating to HIPAA complianceCoordinate, prepare, and monitor special projects as neededQualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in a healthcare related fieldPreferred at minimum, Pharmacy Technician certification or experienceMinimum of two (2) years of health care compliance or regulatory auditing/inspection work experienceDemonstrated proficiencies in utilizing compliance audit or GRC systems (e.g. Compliance 360, RSA® Archer, Audit Board, etc.)Demonstrated proficiencies in Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPointSkills and Abilities:Strong analytical problem solving and strategic thinking skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsAbility to travel as neededExcellent communication skills, professional demeanorGood communication, investigation, and troubleshooting skillsTravel:Travel to other PharmScript pharmacy locations is requiredEEO Statement:PharmScript is fully committed to employing a diverse workforce.
