Medical Assistant in Dermatology Office

We are an upscale boutique Dermatology practice in Manhattan looking for a warm, friendly, organized and efficient Medical Assistant. The majority of your job would be assisting Dr. Halperin during surgeries and office visits. Dr. Peter Halperin has been listed multiple times in New York Magazine's Top Doctors including 2019.

A college degree is required. Medical Assistant Certification is NOT required and future PA/medical school candidates are welcome. We have a 4 week training program for new Medical Assistants. Ideal start time is Jan/Feb 2020. The job is Full-Time and work hours are Monday - Friday.

You will be an integral part of the office. Responsibilities include: Assisting the Doctor during surgeries and office visits, escorting patients to exam rooms, taking medical histories, using the electronic medical system, communicating with other physician's offices & labs, working with insurance companies & pharmacies. If you are looking to go to school in the future, this is a great opportunity to learn how a doctor practices medicine and runs a medical office. Also, Dr. Halperin will give you a personal letter of reference.

Dr. Peter Halperin is a sole practitioner. He is a Dermatologist and Dermatological Surgeon in private practice on the Upper East Side (61st off Park). He graduated from NYU Medical School, did his residency at Cornell-New York Presbyterian Hospital and is a Clinical Associate Professor on staff at Cornell- New York Presbyterian Hospital.
