ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS • Creating and distributing documents • Maintaining computer system by updating and entering data • Setting appointments and arranging meetings • Compiling reports, evaluations, and spreadsheets • Assisting in the maintenance of current HR files and databases • Assisting in the updating and maintaining employee benefits, employment status, and similar records • Performing file audits to ensure that all required employee documentation is collected and maintained • Assisting with payroll/benefit-related reconciliations • Completing termination paperwork and assisting with exist interviews • Participating in recruitment efforts • Organizing resumes and job applications • Scheduling job interviews and assisting in interview process • Ensuring background and reference checks are completed • Preparing new employee files • Processing receipt of time off request forms • Processing time sheets • Participating in benefits tasks, such as claim resolutions, reconciling benefits statements, and approving invoices for payment
JOB REQUIREMENTS • 1+ years working as an HR assistant or payroll clerk • 1-2 years of professional business experience in administration, management, human resources management, or manufacturing related fields. • Must be adept at problem-solving, including being able to identify issues and resolve programs in a timely manner • Must possess strong interpersonal skills • Must be able to communicate clearly, both written and orally, as to communicate with employees, HR manager, and in group presentations and meetings • Must be able to effectively read and interpret information, present numerical data in a resourceful manner, and skillfully gather and analyze information • Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently • Must be organized, accurate, thorough, and able to monitor work for quality • Must be dependable, able to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and must be able to improve performance through management feedback
PREFERRED JOB REQUIREMENTS • Bilingual in English and Spanish a plus • Prior experience with Trac Manager • A bachelor' s degree and at least 1 years' Human Resources experience • Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification or Professional in Human Resources (PHR) is a plus • Experience manufacturing or distribution center environment
