Job Description

Legal Assistant - Lansing

Downtown Lansing office of major Michigan law firm seeks experienced legal assistant to
work in their Public Finance Department.  Prior experience with transactional law is preferred, as position requires assist in preparation of transactional documents, correspondence, disclosure documents and closings.  This is a hybrid position, working 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Duties and Responsibilities include: Furnish administrative and secretarial support for multiple attorneys, Filing in document management system, Ensure proper setup, management and billing of client files, Manage client intake process, Perform administrative tasks, such as opening files, processing check requests and expense reimbursements, maintaining department charts and records, making travel
arrangements, and scheduling appointments, etc...

Candidate must have excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and strong organizational and time management skills. Candidate should also have the ability to multi-task, and work well within a team as well as independently.
