What Youll Be Doing

The Budget and Invoice Reporting Manager supports Operations with budget tracking, projections, trend analysis, report development and data visualization for all Percepta programs globally. This role presents key findings and analysis to Leadership (both internal and client). Additionally, they support both Operations and Finance in the creation of monthly financial reviews and hold meetings as appropriate to disseminate information.

The Budget and Invoice Reporting Manager is responsible for leading a team of Finance Reporting Analysts, along with performing tasks necessary to support the goals of the team. This position identifies and leads the development of new relevant reporting and drives efficiency in their team by improving processes, structure, formats and sources for existing reporting. They also serve as for a liaison between Finance, the Client and Internal Operations management interactions and presentations.

This Manager role is expected to work closely with Percepta Function Leads (Operations, WFM, QA, HR, Training, etc.) to determine the reporting needs of each function. This may include monthly meetings, trending analysis, or other key data inputs (both recurring and ad hoc) to allow for Leadership to clearly understand and track their financial actuals and forecasts. This role will be a key contributor with Function Leads and Percepta Finance during the annual budget and pricing exercise.

During a Typical Day, Youll


Team Management

  • On-going management, coaching, and training of a team of Finance Reporting Analysts in multiple locations, continually improving team skill sets and efficiencies.

  • Ensure all deliverables have a backup/redundancy plan to support business continuity.

  • Create and maintain highly effective review protocols to ensure accuracy and consistency across all reports, both automated and ad hoc.

Individual Contributions and Team Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Percepta Function Leads (Operations, WFM, QA, HR, Training, etc.) to determine the reporting needs of each support function to allow for easy access to budget variations for their specific organizations

  • Prepare budget and invoice related presentations for client and senior management

  • Create or continuously improve team processes related to invoice preparation meetings and budget tracking and reporting and ensure consistency across all regions globally

  • Ownership of data needed for Quarterly CE Process. Leading monthly client meetings to show status on current expenditures against client budget, including reconciliation of actual invoiced amounts and approved future forecasted spending.

  • Supply all Operations data needed for the preparation and review of monthly client invoices

  • Collaborate with Percepta Technology and the Data Warehouse team in the design and implementation of automated tools used for budget and invoice reporting

What You Bring to the Role


  • Bachelors Degree Required; Finance or Accounting preferred


  • Minimum 3-5 years reporting experience, with a key understanding of budget and invoice reporting processes, preferably in the retail, customer care, hospitality, staffing, or healthcare industries

  • Minimum 2 years recent and relevant management experience of finance analytics/reporting team

  • Prior revenue assurance experience preferred

  • Related contact center leadership and reporting development experience

  • Clear ability to make high impact, key business decisions

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software (Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point) required

  • Proficiency in complex data querying and report automation:

  • Experience with Oracle and MS SQL database language and querying tools such as Oracle Developer, Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio preferred

  • Experience with reporting tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services, MS Power BI, Business Objects preferred

  • Minimum 2 years of Account or Client Management Skills

Work Expectations

  • M-F Business hours, with occasional additional hours as deadlines or business needs, require

  • Some travel required to HQ (approximately 2 weeks per year)

  • Lead team of Finance Reporting Analysts

  • Deep understanding of BPO (understand the business) and the relationship between Work Force Management, labor reporting and the financial impacts

  • Have the ability to identify discrepancies between actuals and forecast assumptions and question Operations and WFM when the data is inconsistent
