Peoria Ear, Nose & Throat Group is a fast paced, multi-specialty private practice. We currently have an outstanding career opportunity for a high energy Hearing Instrument Specialist looking for a collaborative position with our otolaryngology physicians, physician assistants, physical therapists (who are specifically trained in vestibular rehabilitation and balance therapy) and doctors of audiology. The successful applicant will be a goal-orientated individual who thrives in a fast paced environment and can deliver excellent patient care.
Responsibilities of the position will include:
Performing audiological evaluations (audiogram, tympanograms) for children and adults
Ability to perform (or desire to learn) vestibular function testing via Videonystagmography (VNG) and Computerized dynamic posturography (CDP)
Assess, recommend and fit hearing aids and troubleshoot and perform minor hearing aid repairs
Maintain and troubleshoot audio equipment
Desired education, experience and licensure:
At least two years of experience as a Hearing Instrument Specialist is preferred.
Possess current Illinois licensure
