Marketing Research Analyst

The primary responsibility of this position is to gather and analyze data on consumers, competitors and market conditions to examine potential sales of the credit union’s products and services. This position will also serve as a project manager for the credit union’s digital banking platform and will manage upgrades, project implementations, and make recommendations for new features. The goal is to accomplish this task while emphasizing a favorable image for the credit union within our existing membership, our field of membership, our Select Employee Groups and the city of Houston.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Utilize the CRM system and other data sources extensively for the creation of campaigns and targeted marketing for new and existing members and to help evaluate the success of marketing projects
  • Develop targeted audience lists for current members and prospects based on data and demographics
  • Utilize data (including member data, website analytics, advertising metrics) to measure member behavior and draw insights about consumers’ propensity to buy
  • Measure and analyze the performance and effectiveness of marketing programs and strategies
  • Interpret data findings into actionable insight
  • Monitor website and advertising analytics to identify patterns, insights, and conversion optimization opportunities
  • Identify, research, validate, and test applicable data sources for validity and usefulness for report and file creation as well as provide recommendations on additional data that will help create richer analysis
  • Analyze data for anomalies, investigate to identify and determine causes, and correct data inaccuracies and inconsistencies as necessary
  • Define, create, and maintain reporting dashboards, results management tools, and standardized reports as directed by the AVP of Marketing
  • Routinely conduct market/competitor analysis and monitor market changes to present and make recommendation as appropriate
  • Create charts, graphs, infographics, and other visual aids to present results
  • Work with other marketing team members to implement marketing automation
  • Work independently and manage day-to-day workflow and projects
  • Possess a familiarity with experimental design, survey methods, and A/B testing
  • Assist with managing online banking relationship including mobile apps to execute upgrades, new service offerings and oversee project management for new project implementation
  • Collaborate with IT department to obtain necessary data for required reports
  • Collaborate with training department for project implementation to ensure staff is trained on new online banking and mobile app updates and enhancements
  • Collaborate with other departments to test and implement new online banking and mobile app features
  • Adhere to marketing procedures and privacy policies as they relate to member information
  • Provide ideal courses of actions and/or recommendations to improve the credit union’s presence
  • Research and stay abreast of current developments and changes in the financial, social media, and marketing industry
  • Keep informed of the latest changes in consumer protection laws, current credit union policy and procedure, advertising regulations and current credit union issues
  • Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other regulations, laws and credit uni0n policies and procedures

    ADDITIONAL DUTIES
  • Understand and communicate credit union history
  • Develop a basic, working knowledge of the credit union’s electronic data processing systems
  • Assist other team members when the need arises
  • Assist with the planning and conducting of special events including the annual meeting of the membership
  • Comply with the Bank Secrecy Act and all other regulations, laws and credit uni0n policies and procedures
  • Research and stays abreast of current developments and changes in the marketing field
  • Perform other duties as needed

This position also requires a valid Texas Driver’s license and current automobile insurance. Occasional travel may be required (community events, corporate events, etc.). All employees are expected to use hands-free device when using a mobile device while driving at all times.

Hours

  • Must be able to work Monday - Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm with occasional hours outside of standard business hours.
  • Hours and schedule are subject to change and must be able to work at other branch locations upon request.
