Job Description

Position Overview

For this role, the ideal candidate will have 4-6 years of full-time, dedicated technical training experience (systems and processes). They will deliver technical training for external clients and internal team members on complex, proprietary human capital staffing platforms. The platforms include the use of web- and server-based software applications that manage recruitment, onboarding, payroll, and billing functions in the staffing industry.

The Technical Training Specialist will be a subject matter expert on all proprietary systems and will build strong functional knowledge of Operations processes supported by the systems. To be effective, this individual should be knowledgeable about ATS/HRIS/payroll systems, skilled in delivering interactive, virtual technical training sessions, highly organized and detail oriented, and able to collaborate with clients and team members at all levels of an organization. Staffing or payroll industry experience is a plus.

Primary Objectives

TECHNICAL TRAINING

  • Deliver engaging, interactive learning sessions for external clients and internal team members
  • Deliver high-impact software demonstrations

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Develop systems expertise in all supported platforms
  • Develop functional knowledge of Operations processes tied to systems training

TRAINING ADMINISTRATION & CONTENT CREATION

  • Coordinate and schedule training sessions
  • Manage rosters and attendance in LMS
  • Develop live virtual and/or on-demand training for new system features and functionality

Specific Responsibilities

TECHNICAL TRAINING

  • Deliver engaging learning sessions for new/existing clients and new/existing internal team members, primarily in virtual setting
  • Facilitate technical training onsite when necessary (occasional)
  • Facilitate interactive learning elements and manage flow of content to maximize participation throughout live training sessions
  • Facilitate live virtual training for new features/functionality to help clients and internal team members gain efficiencies and improve accuracy
  • Communicate complex ideas in easy-to-understand terms with both technical and non-technical learners
  • Maintain subject matter expertise on cutting-edge training methodologies, including live and virtual instructor-led best practices
  • Provide best-in-class customer service and resolution to client and internal team member questions and requests
  • Deliver high-impact software demonstrations for prospective clients
  • Identify and propose training initiatives to improve learner experience, retention, and adoption of systems/processes

TECHNICAL EXPERTISE

  • Develop systems expertise in all core systems (e.g. Office 365) and proprietary company platforms
  • Serve as L&D lead for assigned proprietary platforms and/or Swimlanes (client types)
  • Develop functional knowledge of Operations processes by studying process maps and SOPs, analyzing Operations documentation, and interviewing/shadowing Operations team members
  • Develop functional knowledge of key third-party software that integrates with company platforms to be able to train on integrations as needed
  • Actively participate in system enhancement meetings and assist with initial testing as needed to serve as L&D subject matter expert on updates to systems
  • Partner with Learning Services team to ensure micro-learning library and live training materials are updated as needed to incorporate system enhancements and process improvements
  • Use technical knowledge of systems and processes to make technical training recommendations for role playbooks and other role-specific learning initiatives

TRAINING ADMINISTRATION

  • Coordinate and manage ongoing training sessions for new/existing clients and new/existing internal team members
  • Manage courses, rosters, attendance, and basic reporting in global LMS
  • Administer, grade, and document all testing within training sessions

CONTENT CREATION

  • Partner with Senior Manager, Technical Training and Senior Manager, Learning Services to execute Kirkpatrick evaluation strategy to measure learning impact
  • Partner with Learning Services team to develop and implement learning solutions using instructional design standards and adult learning best practices
  • Design live virtual and/or on-demand training for new features/functionality to train clients and internal team members and pass to Learning Services for micro-learning library updates

Qualifications

Education and Knowledge:

  • 4+ years of full-time, dedicated technical training experience requiring deep systems knowledge of platform(s) supported
  • 2+ years of virtual technical training experience incorporating engaging, interactive elements
  • Technical training expertise in one or more of the following platforms: applicant tracking system (ATS), HRIS and/or payroll processing system
  • Software expertise in Office 365 (including Teams and SharePoint) and virtual learning environments (preferably Zoom, utilizing a variety of interactive features)
  • Experience in software industry, HR operations, or staffing industry a plus
  • Bachelor’s degree in technical field or adult learning a plus
