Operations Director - eLearning

Location: USA – Remote

Citizen or Green Card Holder


Our client is an innovative player in the eLearning space. They are well funded and growing rapidly.  They are looking for a well-rounded Operations Director who has handle the A to Z of operations that is highly focused on process, follow up and follow through. 


You are a savvy and empathic operator, who knows how to support the bedrock of an organization and apply a discerning eye to the decisions presented to a growing startup. You’re equal parts analytical, equal parts decisive, equal parts inquisitive, and equal parts logistics and process savant - and you love being a partner internally at all levels of the organization, getting your hands dirty on a day-to-day basis, and bringing business objectives to fruition.


You are equal parts analytical and big-picture thinker, with a high emotional EQ, and a drive to make change. You understand that everybody on the team needs to win for the organization to win, and you’re able to pinpoint possible problems before they occur, mitigate risk, and are able to propose solutions to problems and identify opportunities both in the moment and well in advance.


Technical Requirements:

  • 7-10 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the tech, education and/or startup space
  • Experience launching a company or product, scaling a company or product with a small but capable founding team
  • Previous experience in operational or strategy / transformation role at VC backed startup
  • 5+ years of direct experience in an operations function
  • Experience collaborating with financial models, operating plans, org charts
  • United States based preferred
  • Experience with navigating Series A and B raises company development
  • Experience with financial software and business model creation
  • Experience with leading a team of 10+
  • Experience with tech-based products, specifically EdTech or SaaS based product
  • Familiarity with VR platforms, technology, emerging markets / technology, content and production, or product ideation to development a +++!
  • Ideally, at least two years of experience within a tech or EdTech organization
  • Prior consulting/work experience with tech/SaaS companies is preferred
  • Excellent data analysis and reporting skills (Google sheets, MS Excel)
  • Excellent written and verbal presentation skills (Google slides, Keynote)
  • Experience with MNDAs, IP Agreements, stock agreements, other legal documents
  • Experience with production, content creation, event planning a plus
