Director Channel Sales '“ Smart Home Products

Location: San Jose, CA (Campbell)

Must haves to be considered:

  • 5+ years' sales experience in electronic consumer products; smart device background preferred
  • Desire to work for early stage startup
  • Willing to do selling first, building a team second
  • Prior sales leadership experience a plus
  • Strong channel sales experience selling into Big Box stores, such as Walmart, Target, Costco, Home Depot, Lowes, etc.
  • Prior experience selling into the residential construction industry, highly desired
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, including use of MS Office products, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, ect.
  • Pre IPO Startup Company seeks a highly talented Director Channel Sales with some marketing, business development background to work with their headquarters in Campbell California. This position will be responsible for management of Brick & Mortar resellers & tier one Home Builders engagement of their client technology smart home product platform.

    Their product is in the manufacturing phase; thousands of units have been made and are ready to be put on shelves!

    What this position will be responsible for:

  • Focus on retail channels, for standalone smart products in Bed Bath & Beyond, Home Depot, Lowes, Costco & Walmart
  • Focus on new channels with tract home builders to increase sales, manage regional sales representatives assigned to the territory and account base, actively engaging with customers and channel partners; prefer to have prior experience selling to either: Home Depot, Lowe's, Walmart, Costco, Ace OR Meritage homes, Toll Bros, KB Home, Lennar, Clayton, LGI, Pulte
  • Meet or exceed sales objectives in territory by effectively utilizing all resources available & working with executive team
  • Focus on new revenue opportunity and expansion of existing business thru opportunity pipeline tools
