Our client has developed and patented a variety of over-the-counter and pharmaceutical biotechnology products that create product differentiation in a crowded marketplace. Their growing patent portfolio encompasses antiaging, dermatitis, cancer, bio-enhancement, weight loss, veterinary medicine, and inflammation. These are used in an array of treatments and therapeutics for humans and animals. The founder has a background and expertise in medicinal chemistry and the pharmaceutical industry.
This is a full time CEO role with commensurate equity; a good fit for someone who has a long-term outlook to disrupt multiple billion-dollar OTC and pharmaceutical markets and is able to have a deferred paycheck until revenues or funding occurs.
As CEO (Chief Executive Officer) you will wear several hats including operations, licensing agreements, marketing, sales, and investor relationships. You will bring a passion for startups, experience in fund raising, operations, and sales/marketing. Currently they have an active license agreement in place, working to close other deals.
You have experience building a company from the ground up (startup), fund raising experience, excellent investor presentation skills, and an expert background in business. Prior experience working in in the biotechnology and cosmetic fields is a plus. The successful candidate will have a history of successful fund raising, team building, and supporting a culture of collaboration and innovation.
- 10+ years’ in a leadership role
- 5+ years’ in a CEO role
- Current startup company experience
- Proven ability to present to investors including Angel and VC and raise funding
- Biotechnology, medical device, pharmaceutical, nutraceutical company experience preferred
- Strong knowledge in licensing agreements; negotiation skills
- Excellent communication skills with internal and exterior stakeholders
- Go to market strategy development and implementation experience
- Willing and able to work for equity only until funding has been raised to support salaries
