SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Administrative Assistant directly aides the Executive Director and Interpreting Departments as well as providing assistance with staff projects and general office support.
Provide a welcoming front door reception area. Answer video calls, provide basic information about services and triage calls for staff. Provide confidential clerical and administrative support to the Executive Director and Director. Assist DAS staff with various project (typing surveys, ) Pick up mail for office. Process and send outgoing mail. Purchase supplies for staff. Ensure office is clean and organized, making coffee, watering plants, ensuring toner, ink and paper are fully stocked in devices. Schedule DAS related interpreting requests in the Boostlingo system. Intake and data entry. Communicate with Tri main management about repairs and work orders. Follow up on customer requests for information. Complies with all agency policies and procedures. Other duties as assigned.
Associates Degree from a two year or technical school, or related educational background plus one to two years of relevant professional experience. Knowledge of Deaf culture or desire to learn. Knowledge of Sign Language or desire to learn. Excellence written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work. Knowledge of telephone etiquette and customer service skills. General Computer knowledge/competency in MS Office, Word and Outlook. Sensitivity to confidential nature of client and agency including financial and employee related information. Ability to sit for extended periods.
