People Incorporated is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Employment Services Specialist. The position will be stationed in Marion, Virginia at the Henderson Building located at 203 N. Street, Marion, Virginia; however, there may be additional offices that may have to be staffed on a rotating basis. This position will serve the jurisdictions of Smyth, Wythe and Bland Counties. The Employment Services Specialist will provide case management and services to assist TANF Grant participants in obtaining and maintaining employment. The services may include eligibility determination, assessment, work readiness and resume writing workshops, job search, post-employment activities, job development/placement assistance and follow-up. Excellent written/oral communication skills and interpersonal skills with a desire to help people overcome barriers to employment and an ability to work independently is required. A Bachelor’s degree in related human service field and two years of experience in counseling and case management, or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities are required.
