Penndel Mental Health Center is a non profit community based mental health agency located in Langhorne. We are seeking candidates to join our team of professionals who are passionate about working with individuals diagnosed with mental illness, intellectual disability, or drug and alcohol addiction. Our focus is to foster a culture of collaboration, respect and personal growth.

Clinical supervision and training is provided along with continuing education opportunities.

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Therapist works as a part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing a wide range of clinical mental health services in the community to persons living with severe and persistent mental illness (SPMI). The ACT team provides services primarily in the community and works toward reducing barriers for access to these services.

This position performs diagnostic assessments, provides therapy both individually and in groups, and guides the coordination of services. Develops individual treatment plans in conjunction with the client and other individuals as indicated. Provides mental health services and supports to assist adults

with mental illnesses achieve their rehabilitative, resilience and recovery goals. Also conducts safety screens as necessary.


  • The Therapist provides clinical recovery-focused services to adults with mental illness and substance abuse problems, if present. Utilize appropriate evidence-based practices and submits timely documentation of the services provided.


  • Candidates must possess a Master's degree in psychology or a related field, an understanding of co-occurring disorders, and related experience is a plus.

  • Must be able to work independently and flexibly under general supervision. Computer proficiency is required to use Electronic Health Records efficiently. Must successfully complete state-required background and DMV checks, possess a valid driver's license, and demonstrate a safe driving record.
