Senior Manager, Card Operations
Summary
PenFed Credit Union is hiring a Senior Manager, Card Operations in Omaha, Nebraska. The primary purpose of this role is to manage the daily activities of the Credit, Debit, and ATM card system integration support teams; ensuring efficient, timely and accurate processing of all work within related regulations, partner agreements and PenFed policies and procedures.

  • Manage a staff that is accountable for the daily end to end production activities associated with card portfolio processing to include but not limited to product and platform settings, monetary and non-monetary maintenance and change management efforts.
  • Directly oversee end to end enhancements, integration, and process improvements within the Credit, Debit and ATM card services team.
  • Specific focus on modernizing existing and establish new robust back office account management processes, policies and procedures.
  • Directly manage the daily activities associated with card portfolio conversions and new product development.
  • Deliver system and workflow efficiency initiatives focused on automating manual processes, improving member and associate experiences.
  • Provide technical guidance to employees and projects; establishing priorities, assigning job duties, ensuring that goals and standards are met.
  • Serve as business representative in supporting card issue resolution and defect management rigor, routines, and response.
  • Manage individual and team performance structure including reporting, goals, policies and procedures necessary to measure and coach individual team member performance.
  • Create an inclusive work environment where staff is valued and has the opportunity to be successful.
  • Perform personnel-related duties such as staffing, performance evaluations, training, development and disciplinary actions.
  • Partner with Compliance and Audit teams to ensure that appropriate regulatory and audit best standards and demands are developed, maintained and achieve 100% satisfactory ratings.
  • Represent Card strategic initiatives as a leading subject matter expert and voice of consideration with internal and external partners.
  • Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly senior leadership performance updates and enhancement recommendations.
Education and Experience
Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field is required.
  • Minimum of ten (10) years' of experience with Credit Card Operations and Production environments is required, specifically Fiserv's Omaha and STAR NE platform.
  • Minimum of two (2) years' in a supervisory role is required.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position will supervise employees.
Licenses and Certifications
Project management certification (PMP or equivalent) is required.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to an indoor office setting with moderate noise.
Most roles require working in an office setting with moderate noise and the ability to lift 25 pounds.
Travel
Ability to travel to various worksites and be on-call may be required.
