engineering principles and concepts.The Piping Engineer must be able to perform the following tasks under supervision:Perform visual/manual calculations of piping systemsSpecify standard pipe supports and locationsDesign special supports (to be verified by supervisor)Interface with other disciplines (piping design, civil/structural, etc.)Understand P&ID's, GA's and other reference drawingsModel and analyze piping systems using Autopipe: Does not include critical systems (boilerfeed, HP steam, etc.); Qualify rotating and static equipment nozzle loadsCompile stress analysis calculation packagesPerform department calculations (wall thickness, flange leak, etc.)Basic knowledge of piping design principlesBasic knowledge of ASME piping and related codes & standardsUnderstand and follow company policies/procedures/standards/guidelinesTravel to client/vendor sites as requiredEducation:Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering or related science from a four (4) year accredited college or university, or equivalent education.1 to 5 years related experience in engineering.Engineering experience utilizing ASME B31.3 "Process Piping" and/or ASME B31.1 "Power Piping" is preferred.Experience with Autopipe (or similar) stress analysis software is preferred.AutoCAD software proficiency is preferred.Fundamentals of Engineering Exam registration required.Job Type: Full-timeExperience:Process or Power Piping: 1 year (Preferred)Autopipe: 1 year (Preferred)engineering: 1 year (Required)AutoCAD: 1 year (Preferred)Education:Bachelor's (Required)Work Location:One location
