Accompany the buyer into the market to learn the business; accompany the buyer to company stores and comp shopping visits
Track sales, analyze reports, and discuss findings with the buyer
Assist in writing purchase orders and monitor existing purchase order status
Ensure allocations and replenishment are on time and reflect current business strategy
Ensure key items are 100% in stock in every store; communicate surface shortages or overages to the planning department
Manage vendor tracker and ensure vendors are communicated with in a timely manner
Manage sample inventory, photography, and tracking
Assist the buying department with various tasks as needed
Complete other assignments and special projects as requested
Strong communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
Rudimentary understanding of retail math
Proficient in Excel and Outlook
Retail experience preferred
Ability to multitask and manage own time effectively in a fast-paced environment
Possession of a strong work ethic and high level of confidentiality
Eagerness and willingness to learn different skills
Independently solve problems within functional areas of expertise
Experience with Monday.com or other task management platforms is a plus
Must be enrolled in college or university, ideally pursuing a degree in Fashion Merchandising or other related degree
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Junior or Senior-level standing
Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher
All candidates must be able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the session
This internship is located in Gardena, California. All candidates must provide their own housing and transportation for the duration of the internship.
September - December
Interns should be available 3 days per week, 20 hours per week
Time period: 12 weeks
