Nurse Practitioner (Pediatric or Family NP) Bilingual Chinese

FULL TIME and / or PART TIME welcomed (weekends needed)

Our private Pediatric practice, with offices located in Manhattan and Brooklyn, is looking for a Pediatric or Family Nurse Practitioner and or a license Physician Assistant to join our well-established practice on a full time or part time basis. Candidates should have an interest in serving the Chinese population (PREFERRED BILINGUAL IN CANTONESE OR MANDARIN).

Nurse Practitioner Responsibilities:

• Help provide primary care to patients.

• Perform physical exams and patient observations.

• Record patient medical histories and symptoms to electronic medical records

• Create patient care plans and contribute to existing plans.

• Order, administer and analyze diagnostic tests.

• Diagnose health issues.

• Administer medicines, treatments and including vaccinations.

• Evaluate responses to treatments and medications.

• Consult with healthcare professionals.

• Train patients and families on managing illnesses or injuries and disease prevention.

** SHOULD BE COMFORTABLE WITH VACCINATION AND PHLEBOTOMY**

Qualifications:

- Current license to practice as Nurse Practitioner in New York State

- Ability to speak English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin)

- Previous experience relevant to the area of clinical practice preferred but not necessary
