Pediatric Healthcare Associates, a group pediatric practice in Fairfield County, is seeking a Clinical Dietitian/ Nutritionist with excellent communication and interpersonal skills to join our pediatric endocrinologist in the care of our patients with identified endocrine abnormalities.
· As part of the treatment team, the Clinical Dietitian/ Nutritionist promotes healthy eating habits by developing health plans and educating patients about food. Provides medical nutrition therapy and educational services to pediatric patients. Evaluates the patient’s nutritional status and/or risk and recommends and facilitates the implementation of age-appropriate nutrition care plans and behavioral changes to promote sound dietary choices in health and disease. Serves as a resource for patients, families, and caregivers. Works closely with PHA’s endocrinologist and the care team to promote nutritional care.
· Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition or Dietetics is required. Master’s degree in Nutrition is preferred. Completion of Didactic Program in Dietetics in accordance with Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) of the American Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics leading to registration eligibility is required. Minimum of 2 years of field experience with child/adolescent experience preferred. Knowledge of EHR software preferred.
