Summary

The Director, Portfolio Management-Pearson X is responsible for designing and promoting the portfolio of short courses. This will include working closely with our partners to develop the framework, market requirements and value proposition. The role will require the planning, implementation and evaluation of programs for specific target markets and the development of features and functionality so that they can be delivered through a consistent online and blended framework.

 
General Responsibilities
  • Develop a framework for non-degree programs working closely with key partners
  • Establish a process to enable new programs to be efficiently developed and delivered
  • Build relationships with partners to create integrations and new features
  • Liaise with teams in markets to understand specific localization requirements
  • Develop product marketing techniques and strategies, including messaging, pricing and product launching
  • Develop and communicate the value proposition of specific programs and differentiated features
  • Collaborate with acquisition, content, design and sales teams to implement most profitable approach
  • Create materials and programs to train individual members of the Sales team



General Qualifications
  • 4-year degree from an accredited institution in Education, Business, Marketing or equivalent discipline OR appropriate combination of experience and education
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience launching new business and programs in new markets
  • Experience of business and product development
  • Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely to stakeholders across a variety of different cultures and countries
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong relationship-builder and team player with partners and clients
  • Ability to perform domestic and international travel as needed
  • Preferred qualifications:
  • Master's degree
  • Experience in the education sector
  • Travel is required (up to 40% of the time)
