The manager is responsible to oversee the processes and team involved to support the Pearson VUE business for Client Financial Services.  This position works cross-functionally throughout the organization to build and maintain client-centric financial services. It requires an experienced and fully competent professional with in-depth knowledge of VUE's clients, students, and testing centers.  The position will partner with Program Management, Business Development, Legal and others to provide financial support and guidance on existing and new client accounts, while managing a team of client financial analysts.

This "hands-on" role includes: 
  • Providing subject matter expertise to business partners and clients on client financial services for VUE US business. 
  • Maintain and foster close working relationships with key clients. 
  • Work in collaboration with shared services to provide clients with accurate reporting, monthly financials and timely payments. 
  • Identifying tools, techniques and practices that are business enablers and enhance improvements in system/performance for sustainability.
Core tasks and responsibilities
  • Manage client invoicing process ensuring client financial statements and settlements are handled accurately and timely, by contractual due dates leveraging the VUE Test System (VTS).
  • Oversee the VTS financial reconciliation system to ensure client fee schedules are accurately maintained in the financial reconciliation system per client contractual fee schedule for VUE business.
  • Work with Business Development and Program Management during bid process for new contracts to ensure we deliver competitive financial services to our clients within our system capabilities.
  • Lead and provide support during the new client launches and changes in existing client programs
  • Support audit schedules and provide relevant documents to support internal, external and client audits
  • Expertise in understanding and ensuring the business processes under VUE's SSAE18 control structure are continually followed.
  • Develop, implement and maintain policies and procedures in regarding to client invoicing
  • Provide knowledge and support to team and Program Managers related to discount, vouchers, pre-paid/non-pre-paid programs
  • Oversee General Ledger activities for revenue recognition, liabilities and expenses related to client invoicing
  • Maintain team by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Work in collaboration with the VUE Client Financial teams - UK, Japan, India, China, and others.

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting , or related field preferred or equivalent experience
  • 3 - 5 years experience working in financial/customer services role as part of a fast past environment
  • In-depth knowledge of financial systems
