A focused professional growth plan is: First 6 months includes developing skills to: Comprehend the variety of heat treat & metal finishing processes Paulo completes Identify the key aspects of Quality Management Systems (QMS-ISO, AS, & IATF) Demonstrate understanding of key goals/measures for success of the organization Understand all corporate and plant structures & how they service their customer Learn and Interact with local plant customers Within a year you will be able to: Own the local plant Quality Management System Utilize the different QMS structures to add value to the overall business Provide leadership on project assignments for improvement Key contact for Customer Quality issues and corrective actions Present & report performance of the QMS to top management Utilize and conduct training implementing Paulo's problem solving process Comprehend the variety of heat treat & metal finishing processes Paulo completes Identify the key aspects of Quality Management Systems (QMS-ISO, AS, & IATF) Demonstrate understanding of key goals/measures for success of the organization Understand all corporate and plant structures & how they service their customer Learn and Interact with local plant customers Own the local plant Quality Management System Utilize the different QMS structures to add value to the overall business Provide leadership on project assignments for improvement Key contact for Customer Quality issues and corrective actions Present & report performance of the QMS to top management Utilize and conduct training implementing Paulo's problem solving process As the Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the leadership of the quality function and adherence to global quality standards.

You will supervise and coordinate the activities of those engaged in inspecting and testing parts during the production process, applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures to assure that all materials processed are in compliance with all applicable requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Implement, manage, audit, and improve the Quality System in accordance with the Divisional Quality Manual, which conforms to, ISO or QS (NADCAP, AS, or IATF 16949).

Supervise quality assurance lab personnel including training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints, resolving problems, rewarding, and disciplining employees. Insure cooperation and teamwork among production, management, sales, quality, and customers in matters relating to product quality. Participate in customer audits and visits to customer facilities.

Understand and interpret all customer specifications and prints. Perform contract review with the assistance of the Plant Manager, Sales, and the Production Manager. Ensure that the plant is capable of performing the required process, meeting all specification and print requirements.

Review quality assurance instructions, specification and prints to determine method of conducting inspections and tests, sequence of operations and work assignments. Assist in developing processes, which achieve the required results. Inspect and test material to insure adherence to customer specifications.

Review documentation and confer with inspectors, production management and engineering personnel to solve problems and to ensure that inspection requirements are met. Generate written reports and procedures concerning activities, functions, and systems. Apply analytical tools to determine present standards and establish quality systems.

Plan, promote, organize and/or conduct training activities related to product quality and reliability. Locate the root cause of non-conformance and follow up and report on reprocessing of non-conforming product. Promote and participate in an environment conducive to continuous improvement, defect prevention, production efficiency, high morale and customer satisfaction.

Maintain organized files for charts, shop orders, etc. Monitor print files periodically to assure all prints are properly updated and organized. Track material rejection records.

Develop and maintain good customer relations and customer complaint handling procedures. Perform designed experiments to enhance both production and product quality. Use computer software programs to store, calculate, retrieve, and report on quality.

Monitor furnace pyromentry program and ensure compliance to all standards. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors' Degree in related discipline or equivalent experience. Ability to travel for job-related meetings, conventions, training, etc.

Such travel may include overnight stays of one or more nights. Amount of travel estimated to be 10% or less. Experience working with Quality Management systems specifically ISO 9001, ISO 14001, AS 9100, IATF 16949, and/or NADCAP.

Must be able to read instructions, charts, and production paperwork. Must be able to communicate both verbally and in writing. Must be able to participate in and encourage team working and communication.

Strong customer communication and relationship building skills required. Experience with internal auditing and verification. Knowledge of corrective action closure.

Lean environment exposure, a plus. Auditor certification, a plus. License(s)/Certification(s) Required: Valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record in compliance with Paulo's Vehicle Use Policy Company-paid Drug Screen and Physical required upon hire.
