Graphics Technician Assistant (Technical Writer / Graphics Artist)
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with material preparation in printed /electronic format in support of HQs
- Serve as the photographer/videographer for command events
- Prepare printed materials, including signs, placards, posters, tri-folds, banners, and other printed materials
- Create electronic media including briefings, announcements, newsletters, and other electronic media in various formats (Microsoft, Adobe)
- Develop and incorporate visual information products (still, video, graphics imagery) into various communication tools such as web pages, social media sites, magazines, and electronic newsletters/stories
- Maintain customer and Commander message boards and coordinate with customer print shop
- Support content for customer’s public and private websites and Intranet by mapping and outlining website structural content and navigation
- Establish and maintain master web page layouts, CSS style-sheets, and HTML themes and coordinating with customers and its application development team to build and refine graphic designs and layouts for websites
- Generate documents or edit copy
Education
- High School Diploma
Minimum Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in graphic design, or similar field
- Experience with camera and video equipment
- Communications and comprehension skills in English, both oral and written
- Possess the capability to articulate well
- Experience with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator
- Self-starter and good time management skills
- U.S. citizenship required
- Ability to pass background investigation
