Assistant Director of Engineering - Hotel

MANDATORY: MUST hold a state license in at least one skilled trade of Plumbing OR HVAC-R, OR an EPA Universal License, OR Supplemental Education for HVAC or Plumbing.

WHAT YOU NEED TO JOIN

• Skilled and Knowledgeable in building trades
• Solid knowledge and skill in the safe use of hand and power tools and other materials required to perform repair and maintenance tasks
• Safely perform highly complex repairs of the physical property, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical equipment, air conditioners, refrigeration and pool equipment - ensuring all methods, materials and practices meet company standards and Local and National codes - with little or no supervision
• Display advanced knowledge of all engineering computer programs related to preventative maintenance, energy management, and other systems, including devices that interact with such programs
• Experienced with programming and operation auto motion systems, fire alarms and other building electronic systems
• Knowledgeable in reading and understanding plans and specifications
• Must be familiar with all Massachusetts building, plumbing, electrical and mechanical codes
• Proficient, at an advanced level, with computers and relevant computer programs
• Committed to delivering a high level of customer service
• Strong leadership skills and previous experience of managing a team

Qualifications/Experience:

• 5 years’ minimum experience in building trades, high-rise, or Hotel (Hotel experience preferred)
• Two years as Assistant Chief/Director of Engineering or 5 years Supervisor/Lead Experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products (including Microsoft Project Manager)

Education:

• High School diploma, general education degree or international equivalent required
• College degree or equivalent work experience
• Engineering Degree preferred
