School Age Care Team Specialist

Gloucester - 35 hrs. per wk. during school yr., 40 hrs. per wk. during summer and school vacations,
52 wks. per yr.
Under the supervision of the School Age Care Manger, the School Age Care Team Leader/Administrator will plan and implement classroom programming for school age children (ages 5-13) while ensuring their safety and wellbeing. This staff member will also support the administrative duties of the program during non-teaching hours.

The primary functions include planning and implementing developmentally appropriate activities which meet the individual needs of the children served in the program. This includes planning and participating in off-site field trips. WHAT WILL YOU DO? (A full job description will be provided for review as part of the recruitment process)
- Plan and implement a daily program of developmentally appropriate activities which meet the individual needs of the children enrolled in the program
- Implement daily lesson plans that follow the program goals of the School Age Care program
- Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times
- Consult with administrators, social workers, behaviorists and others regarding planning for students with social/emotional needs as well as coordination of other program activities
- Participate in planning and attending off-site field trips
- Identify new activities to keep students engaged and always learning
- Display a positive and supportive attitude toward students and peers
WHAT DO YOU NEED?
- Required: Must meet age requirements; High School diploma or equivalent
- Have a Bachelors or Associate degree and have three (3) months experience working with school age children; or have a high school diploma or equivalent and six months of experience
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the role
- Must comply with all state and federal requirements
- Must complete and satisfy background check protocols
