Developed and supported by Parry Labs, Stellar Relay is deployed at a Technology Readiness Level (TRL) 7-9 on SOCOM, Army, Air Force and new DARPA platforms including the MQ-1C Grey Eagle, Grey Eagle Miniature Mission Interface (GEMMI) Ground Control Station, MQ-9 Predator, MQ-9B SeaGuardian, U-28 Draco, and UH-60A BlackHawk. Stellar Relay provides customers with hardware and software solutions that securely streamline the ability to collect, analyze, and share information at the speed of relevance. As a small footprint communications hub and compute host based on relevant open standards, Stellar Relay is easy to integrate and equips platforms with a low-cost solution to continuously upgrade capabilities by hosting advanced applications and technologies including Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (AI/ML), vision-based navigation, and other mission critical technologies.

This role is a Systems Engineer who is part of the MBSE team working modeling activities on Parry Labs programs.


  • Execute modeling needs for Parry labs programs
  • Participate in development of MBSE processes and procedures to be used across programs
  • Execute quality standards for MBSE
  • Work with requirements engineers, other systems engineers, software engineers and I&T engineers to support a holistic approach to engineering across d­­­­­isciplines
  • Support MBSE lead as needed for development of MBSE processes, work with program management and program engineering, MBSE integration with Software Factory, and develop MBSE Basie of Estimates (BOEs)
  • Work within Software Factory MBSE tooling and processes and support integration into engineering pipelines


  • Provide support for interviews with MBSE engineering candidates and give recommendations
  • Work with Requirements, Software and I&T teams as needed to ensure alignment
  • Work with Business Development as needed to develop MBSE proposal and business development materials


  • Experience in presenting data at customer design reviews
  • Experience with modeling for software and hardware elements of a system
  • Experience with modeling for embedded systems
  • Experience with Agile development constructs and tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Knowledge of UAS systems and ground control station architecture 
  • Active Top Secret or Secret clearance


  • Bachelor’s Degree in engineering or another related STEM field (will consider years of related experience in lieu of degree)
  • 1-5 years’ experience in Systems Engineering
  • Multi-tasking aptitude
  • Proactive problem solver
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
  • US Citizen with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
  • Exposure to SysML/UML models and documentation including Use Cases, Activity, Sequence, and Interface Block Diagrams
  • Exposure to modeling software such as No Magic Cameo (a.k.a., MagicDraw) or IBM Rational modeling software (preference is for Cameo)
  • Ability to decompose complex system of systems into functional subsystems and components
  • Ability to perform requirements derivation from the system to the component level


  • Travel < 15% (more travel may be needed for candidates who are not in Huntsville, AL or Dallas, TX locations)
