A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A VALET ASSISTANT ACCOUNT MANAGER
As a Valet Assistant Account Manager, you play an essential role in ensuring that your associates provide the highest level of service to our guests. You hire, train, and administer progressive discipline to staff members to keep your team in tip-top shape. By managing the valet team, you ensure proper key handling as well as the safe and efficient parking and retrieval of all vehicles. You work hard to establish and maintain relationships with each of your associates and the accounts that you manage. Whenever guest complaints arise, you strive to find a solution in a timely manner.
In addition, you assist with multiple HR functions such as making sure employees are compliant with their onboarding tasks as well as properly trained or certified before starting their first shift. Each week, you review all associate timecard punches, claimed tips, minimum wage make-up or discrepancies, and vehicle counts. You also assist with managing the revenue for each account and maintaining strong communication with your clients. Using your keen eye for detail, you are able to anticipate your client's needs and provide proactive solutions to keep them satisfied. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A VALET ASSISTANT ACCOUNT MANAGER
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check upon hire
- Ability to drive a manual vehicle
- Computer skills
- Leadership skills
At least one year of experience in a related customer service or hospitality role is preferred. Management or leadership experience would be a plus but multiple factors will be taken into consideration. Do you have excellent verbal and written communication skills? Are you able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner? Can you balance multiple tasks while demonstrating good time management? Are you able to adapt to changes in the work environment and learn new skills quickly? Do you work well both independently and as part of a team? Can you effectively motivate and mentor others?
