The Engineering and Quality team is responsible for production quality control, development and testing of rubber compounds, reinforcements and rubber hoses
Run miscellaneous test methods (e.g., specific gravity, Tensile strength, density, Adhesion, flattening, burst and proof test....) related to compounds, reinforcement materials and finished goods in a timely manner with attention to detail and quality
Gather and analyze in-process and finished product samples to provide quality assurance and process control information for the manufacturing process using specific laboratory test methods and techniques
Completes paperwork and reports as needed.
Keep measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
Maintain the lab. clean, organized and free from Safety Hazard by following standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.
Understand test methods, test equipment, test samples, recognize errors and suggest improvements.
Understand role in ISO audit process and can participate as required
Understand and participate in quality control methods
Use safe working practices and promote a safe work atmosphere throughout the team
Share knowledge and support co-workers as well as customers
Be proactive in seeking new skills as needed to support team goals
High School diploma required, 2-year technical degree preferred
Experience in testing of rubber hose reinforcement or rubber compounds preferred
Excellent communication skills
Proficient with various computer applications like software interfaces to operate the testing equipment and basics in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
Willing to learn new skills to add to team efficiency and flexibility
Established record of working safely
Able to stand on their feet for long periods
