Controller

A retail/ service orientated company located in the Sacramento area is looking for an experienced Controller to join the team. Our ideal candidate will be hands-on with day-to-day accounting duties and have the necessary qualifications to monitor and manage the financial performance of the company.

Controller Responsibilities:

• Oversee that effective internal controls are properly enforced to ensure the integrity of all systems, processes, and data
• Manage and oversee all financial plans and accounting practices of the company
• Manage the accuracy and productivity of the day-to-day activities of the AR and AP Departments
• Reconcile the monthly bank and credit card statements
• Coordinate month-end and year-end closings
• Preparation and distribution of timely financial statements
• Work with outside consultant on implementing financial reporting structure

Controller Qualifications:

• Must have a minimum 5 years full-cycle accounting experience
• Must have an understanding of GAAP and tax rules
• Must have the ability to train and supervise accounting staff
• Must have experience working in the retail space
• Must have a can-do attitude and be willing to take on complex and ad-hoc projects

Job Type: Full-time

Experience:

• Supervisory: 5 years (Preferred)
• Full-cycle accounting: 5 years (Preferred)
