Dental Front Office Registrar

Work in partnership with the Billing Administrator Assistant, in being the Lead Registrar in ensuring the process of the overall daily workflow of dental front office are being met. Monitor the calls and ensures that the calls are handled promptly, meets required quality assurance and customer service guideline. The Front Office Lead Registrar will proactively provide support for the dental clinical team, front office staff and customers' needs to promote a well-organized and efficient practice.
Duties
Oversee daily operations of the dental front office staff workflow
Greeting and welcoming patients to the practice
Performs all components of appointment scheduling
Assisting patients to fill out demographic/information forms
Preparing/distributing daily schedules for the dental staff
Updating patient demographic information and scanning all needed documents into PMS
Scheduling follow-up appointments and providing telephonic reminders
Verifying methods of payment and collecting payments as needed
Performing general office duties, such as answering telephones, photocopying, filing, scanning of documents and faxing
Work closely with the Billing Administrative Assistant in managing insurance verification eligibility/patient responsibility at the time of service
Serve as a patient advocate to troubleshoot problems in registration
Coordinate the daily batching of encounters, daily cash sheet, and patient sign-in sheets to be sent to the Billing Department in a timely manner
Advise patients of insurances offered by the State of Maryland for themselves for themselves and their families
Maintains confidentiality
Communicates appropriately and clearly with departmental management, coworkers and patients and exhibits willingness to master new work routines and methods
Practices and adheres to Code of Conduct
Maintains and contributes to a professional and ethical work environment and actively participates in team meeting and engages in the processes of registration
Displays an understanding and awareness of and performs all duties in accordance with Park West Health Center Mission and Vision statements
Adheres to all PW Infection Control and safety policies
Performs related duties as required or assigned
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Two years' experience working in Dental Front Office Environment. Three years' experience in customer service, patient relations or similar area having the ability to effectively lead and direct a diverse workforce.
