Production Manager

We are currently hiring a Production Manager on 3rd shift for Tipton, Indiana Location. The hours are 11pm to 8:30am. This is on a rotation schedule, so there will be 2-3 weekends (partial weekends) each month required.

Tipton is conveniently located 30 miles north of Indianapolis' north side and 25 miles south of Kokomo, IN.

This position is responsible for ensuring the daily production goals are met by leading, planning, organizing, and management of the plant functional departments and staff to ensure a focus on production and output needed in all areas to include packaging functions. Responsible for ensuring company standard specific to the production, packaging, warehousing, quality, maintenance, safety, and scheduling within the production and packaging functions.

Responsibilities:

• Provides leadership for the successful day-to-day operation of the facility.
• Maintains quality control objectives and coordinate objectives with production procedures.
• Coordinates with Plant Managers to maximize product reliability and minimize costs.
• Plans, promotes and organizes training activities related to product quality, reliability and performance.
• Participates in all audits.
• Ensures all guidelines of Good Manufacturing Practices, USDA standard, and OSHA standards are in compliance.

Minimum Education and Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred or demonstrated food manufacturing experience of a minimum of 5 years.
• Must be able to motivate employees to keep operations running smoothly.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills are necessary.
• Previous experience in a food manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to work in a high volume and fast paced environment.
• Must be able to meet strict customer deadlines.
• Experience with HACCP, USDA and SQF preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
