JOB DESCRIPTION:

The CNC Machinist will perform a series of complex machine operations, including CNC Machine setup and programming to meet precise CNC Machine tolerances and finishing requirements. The CNC Machinist will need to read and edit CNC Machine G & M code. The ability to conversational program is a plus. First piece and in-process quality inspections for CNC Machine are required. We are currently looking for CNC Machinist candidates to work on 2nd or 3rd shift in CNC machine operation.
Responsibilities
  • The CNC Machinist will Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
  • The CNC Machinist will Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
  • The CNC Machinist will Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
  • The CNC Machinist will Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
  • The CNC Machinist will Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
  • The CNC Machinist will Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
  • The CNC Machinist will Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
  • The CNC Machinist will Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
  • The CNC Machinist will Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High school diploma.
  • Advanced education or apprenticeship preferred.
  • 3-5 years of CNC experience required
  • CNC machinist

Requirements

The CNC Machinist will have strong math skills and the ability to work from detailed and involved part drawings and specifications to perform operations to the capacity of the machine and controls are also essential.
  • Proven experience as CNC operator
  • Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
  • Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
  • A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
  • Good communication abilities
