Job Description

Paradigm is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor (mulitple shifts) to support our client, a leading specialist in medical microelectronics located in the Portland, OR area. The Production Supervisor will help manage and improve the manufacturing process which is a key part of a worldwide enterprise working together to deliver critically reliable medical devices.

Type: Direct Hire, full time, mulitple shifts, on-site
Location: Lake Oswego, OR

Responsibilities of the Production Supervisor:

  • Oversee all processes, methods, and handling protocols
  • Manage personnel that execute the production schedule, leading them to take ownership of manufacturing area with self-directed work teams
  • Train manufacturing specialists using the 5S methodology
  • Track and document work team performance
  • Achieve delivery performance and fill rate
  • Ensure timely escalation and documentation of problems to support groups
  • Continuously work to improve and manufacturing processes, projects, and efficiency by analyzing labor, planning work flows, space requirements and equipment layout
  • Work collaboratively with the Development Engineering, Sustaining Engineering, Quality and Materials teams
  • Prepare product and process reports that calculate production, labor, and material costs, review production schedules, estimate future requirements, and summarize information and trends to assist manufacturing decision makers

Requirements

Our skills and experience wish list includes:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or related discipline preferred
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in the semiconductor industry and/or automated manufacturing environment (i.e. medical or electronics manufacturing)
  • Demonstrated skills in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and 5S techniques
  • Experience with tracking equipment and factory performance
  • Experience with statistical methodologies for problem solving and optimization
  • Knowledge of materials used in electronics manufacturing
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Cleanroom gowning required for all work in environmentally controlled areas
  • Job may require overtime and weekends in accordance with business needs
