Mechanical Designer

Paradigm is seeking a Mechanical Designer to support our client, a global project delivery firm. The successful candidate will have experience with design projects for industrial facilities, manufacturing, semiconductor fabs, focusing on quality, efficiency, and collaboration.

Responsibilities of the Mechanical Designer:

• Responsible for producing mechanical layouts, specifications, and drawings.
• Create, and finalize, designs for both industrial and domestic piping, HVAC ducting, exhaust, and wastewater discharge
• Applies standard design techniques and exercising judgment in modifications to design concepts.
• Collaborate with Mechanical Engineers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders on primary assigned objectives
• Collaborate, and be familiar with, other design disciplines for project needs
• Ensure quality control by complying with CAD standards.
• Perform field observations of site to identify areas that need design solutions
• Potential for limited travel

Requirements

Our skills and experience wish list includes:

• High school diploma or GED is required. An associate or bachelors degree, tracked in engineering or architectural fields, is preferred.

• Proficient with AutoCAD software.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
• Experience or knowledge with Navisworks, PIPE-FlO, and/or Revit is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
