Position Summary:

The Electrician 2 wires machine panels and machines from drawings and diagnoses related issues. In addition, they will perform I/O checks and trouble shoot electrical systems on machines.

Position Responsibilities, but not limited to:

Under the direction of the Electrician Lead, the Electrician 2 will perform the following:

1. Wire machine panel and machines from drawings

2. Diagnose panels and machines including I/O checks

3. Specify proper components

4. Practice safe grounding techniques

5. Ensure machines are electrically safe to work on.

6. Use lock out procedures when required.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Continually participate in safe work place practices regarding lifting, handling of materials, operating of machines and equipment and reporting any safety related issues or problems.
2. Follow the attendance policy and adhere to all practices stated in the PMC Employee Handbook.
3. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Technical skills and abilities:

1. Understand basic math

2. Read electrical schematics and machine drawings

3. Understand and practice electrical safety protocol

4. Working knowledge of 110, 220, and 440 volt systems

5. Ability to trouble shoot electrical systems

6. Wiring of basic machine components – motors, drives, heaters, valves, etc.

7. Some understanding of mechanical devices

8. Guide and train Electrician 1’s.

Physical demands and work environment:

Physical Demands:

1. Lift 50 pounds.

2. Ability to crawl under equipment.

Work environment: Factory Floor.
