VP of Operations

Your job duties as VP of Operations will include managing multiple departments, staff and projects within Papaya Pet Care. Developing an extensive knowledge of the industry, Papaya Pet Care’s finances and employee growth/output all while gearing towards Papaya Pet Care’s strategic goals, Mission, Vision and Values.

Examples of tasks a VP of Operations may need to perform include:

• Leading departments and operations of the company
• Budgeting for multiple projects, including monitoring and controlling costs
• Work closely with Human Resources to implement and refine company policies and procedures (assist in the development of HR)
• Guiding, directing and evaluating the work of management and executive team members
• Creating and implementing a strategic plan
• Leveraging company output to improve ranking in the veterinary field
• Tackling unforeseen issues and troubleshooting
• Representing the company for external and internal events
• Monitoring the competitive landscape and attending industry events to stay abreast of new initiatives and ways to stay ahead
• Identifying, training and developing leaders within the company and setting them on a path for management
• Helping to establish procedures to find new locations, open hospitals and get staff trained

You will perform your job duties from 12680 High Bluff Drive Suite 150, San Diego, CA 92130, and from other clinic locations as necessary. We are requiring this position to be located in San Diego for the first two years.
