Analyst, IT Operations Engineer (IS-118)

The Analyst, IT Operations will be primarily responsible for providing operational and engineering support for the Panera Bread enterprise environment. The candidate for this position must be able to be flexible to assist coverage as needed. This flexibility includes on-call rotation including the occasional evening, weekend or holiday support.

This position is based out of the Laumeier Support Center, located in St. Louis, MO.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teams of resources including: Architects, Software Developers, Configuration Management, Database Administrators, System Engineers and Stakeholders to ensure enterprise systems are operational and ready for support

  • Provide technical support of system architecture, system configuration, change management, incident management, and problem management for on-premises and cloud environments through various stages of project implementation ranging from pilot to full production.

  • Perform data and trend analysis reporting to determine enterprise platform operational efficiency and reduce friction

  • Provide internal tier 2 support to the IT Operations Team including support for time-sensitive file transfer failures

  • Analyze and review event and incident reports to provide recommendations for system/site improvements/opportunities to be developed

  • Create, maintain, and improve monitoring via tools to ensure on-premises and cloud enterprise systems events and incidents are captured and reviewed

  • Create, maintain, and providing training on procedural documentation to ensure world class support can be provided

  • Perform proactive application performance monitoring to document and track performance and usage trends

  • Collaborate with development teams to resolve escalated support issues. Create documentation for required solution enhancements, fixes, and workarounds.

  • Identify, define, and create automated solutions for daily IT Operations tasks to improve team performance

  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Minimum 3+ years of relevant experience in IT Operations and/or IT Production Support of high availability/volume website systems

  • Experience working in a fast-paced online environment

  • Pro-active and flexible with an ability to work individually or as part of a team

  • Understands complex on-premises and cloud ecosystems and best practices and applies this knowledge to their work

  • Tech savvy and have the ability to learn and adjust to new concepts

  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail

  • Ability to think outside the box and contribute innovative solutions to complex issues

  • Highly analytical and detail oriented with a passion for digging into data to identify key trends, results and critical outcomes required

  • Ability to work both independently and as a member of a cross functional team

  • Must be able to multitask effectively and switch priorities as needed

  • Experience with Linux Shell, Perl Scripting, Oracle, Google Cloud Platform, and ServiceNow

  • Experience with alerting and monitoring tools Splunk, Dynatrace, and Solarwinds

  • Proficient in Excel and Business Intelligence Tools

  • Intranet and Internet website monitoring and troubleshooting

  • Experience writing and tuning SQL queries in an on-line or off-line environment

  • Oracle Enterprise Manager experience a plus

  • Experience in fast-casual restaurant industry a plus

  • VMWare and blade server environment experience a plus
