Panel Exteriors is an established metal panel and exterior wall systems contractor. We are working to
expand our presence in the Memphis market. Our growing company is an exciting place to work, and we
are searching for an experienced candidate for the position of Estimating Manager.

Panel Exteriors is seeking to fill the position with an employee familiar with metal panels and ACM
panels, in a tech-focused role of Estimating Manager. This position would be primarily an office position
with some limited field time required.

This position can be identified as divided into three primary roles:
1. Estimating:
Estimating would constitute approximately 60% of the position responsibilities.
In this role, the Estimating Manager would:
a. Identify projects that are a match for the work Panel Exteriors performs
b. Obtain architectural plans for the project in an electronic format
c. Provide an accurate takeoff count for exterior wall panels, flashing, and accessory materials
d. Identify and sketch necessary flashing details
e. Create an accurate Bill of Materials list
f. Estimate the required materials and labor to complete the scope of work
g. Work with the General Manager to prepare a complete bid
h. Interpret change order requests and provide accurate price adjustments
i. May occasionally require site visits to projects
2. Detailing:
Project detailing would constitute approximately 30% of the position responsibilities.
In this role, the Estimating Manager would:
a) Revisit the architectural plans and flashing details that were incorporated into the original
bid
b) Generate CAD shop drawings for the project for review and approval by the client’s design
team
c) Solicit bids, obtain material approvals from the client, schedule and order materials in
compliance with the client’s project schedule
d) Assist the field installation team in adjusting flashing and installation details as needed
e) Generate shop drawing details for local fabricators to generate flashing pieces as needed for
project completion
3. Technical Support:
Technical support would constitute approximately 10% of the position responsibilities.
In this role, the Estimating Manager would:
a) Assist office and field personnel in adopting, maintaining and troubleshooting IT issues
b) Software and hardware troubleshooting
c) Work with IT professionals in new software adoption
d) Assist in keep software and hardware up to date and fully operational

Position Requirements:
Education/Experience:
 Proficient in reading and interpreting structural and architectural plans.
 Previous experience in pre-engineered metal buildings, exterior metal wall panels
and/or ACM.
 Estimating experience.
 Math and communication skills; ability to calculate slopes, angles and arcs.
 Associates or Technical degree, or appropriate level of related experience.
 Competent to work independently and in a team environment, meet deadlines, and
problem-solve.
Computer Skills:
• Competency in PlanSwift or similar takeoff software (i.e. OST, QuickBid, PlanGrid).
• AutoCAD experience is a must.
• Must be proficient in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel and Outlook).
Physical Demands:
• Ability to assist field personnel in evaluating field conditions using a tape and level.
