Founded by owner Clemence Danko in 2012, Choc O Pain French Bakery & Café is an award-winning food company dedicated to making and providing the best French experience to our valued customers in New Jersey.

We serve the most artisanal and authentic French breads, pastries and lunch items, in addition to coffee, in a Parisian decor. We now have four cafés and a commissary kitchen, all located in Hoboken and Jersey City. We also offer catering services and wholesale.

We are a value-driven organization dedicated to nurturing great work experiences for our teams with opportunities for growth, and to support our growing operations, we are looking for a talented, hard-working and ambitious Production & Facility Manager (Management Entry Level).

Job Summary:

As Production & Facility Manager (Management Entry Level), the successful candidate will work directly (but not exclusively) with the Owner, The Back of the House Supervisors and the Financial Controller to help the company reach its objectives.

In order to do so, he/she should possess savvy business skills and be a highly motivated professional, with proven ability to establish excellent working relationships with various team members.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to the following):

*Production Planning

  • Production Scheduling
  • Production Analysis, and Future Production Forecast
  • Oversee Production Processes (including Health and Safety Protocols)

Supply Chain and Facility Management

  • Ensure supplies and ingredients are available when needed (Inventory management, Purchasing, Receiving Deliveries, etc) including negotiation of prices with suppliers
  • Ensure the maintenance of our facilities (Production facility and Stores) and their equipments & systems
  • Is responsible for the respect of Servsafe & OSHA guidelines in all 4 locations, and their updates
  • Design Delivery Routes and manages Delivery Drivers
  • Management of Porters

*Operational Analysis

  • Analytics (Production Report, Sales Data, Expenses, Purchases, etc)
  • Operational Optimization
  • Support to CEO and Back of House Team

*Operational Systems

  • ERP Implementation
  • Maintenance and Day-to-Day Management of ERP

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Production Management, Engineering or related area preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Experience with production, logistics, supply chain in food service or retail industry preferred but not required. Good entry level applications will be considered.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Skilled at managing multiple priorities and relationships.
  • Computer skills: proficient in Microsoft Office with a strong focus on Excel. POS and ERP experience a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Kitchen experience is a plus
