GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

Paladina Health is looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Coordinator to the join our medical operations team to assist with provider credentialing. This role will organize, maintain and verify all aspects of the process. They will be responsible for tracking expirations of certifications/Licenses to maintain up-to-date files and assist health plan providers with inquiries. The individual will be joining a fast-paced and innovative team that is passionate about developing and managing processes and analyses to help providers make better, more informed healthcare decisions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all-inclusive and will evolve over time.

Processes initial credentialing and re-credentialing applications

  • Screens provider’s applications and supporting documentation to ascertain their eligibility.
  • Collects information from National Practitioner Data Bank (NPDB), applicant and their malpractice insurer and other relevant sources.
  • Captures primary source documentation in computer databases
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws, regulations, procedure and policies.
  • Assists in developing processes to drive efficiency across multiple corporate and operational teams
  • Coordinates and maintains CAQH and NPPES credentialing for all providers
  • Coordinates DOT registration, and maintaining licensing annual checks
  • Coordinates with finance for insurance credentialing purposes
  • Collaborate with Operations and Legal Counsel to write NP/PA collaboration agreements
  • Coordinates provider relations processes including communication content development, Continuing Medical Education, Activities, contractual questions and administrative policy and procedure development.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education, and experience required to fulfill the essential duties, include computer skills as required.

  • Associate Degree preferred
  • 2+ years of credentialing experience
  • NAMSS Certification as a Certified Professional Medical Services Manager (CPMSM) or Certified Provider Credentials Specialist (CPCS)
  • Knowledge of medical credentialing and privileging procedures and standards
  • Strong project management skills, balancing multiple tasks while consistently meeting deadlines
  • Capable of working with complex processes
  • Passion for healthcare and primary care innovation
  • Strong alignment with Paladina’s mission and core values
  • Past work experience in healthcare in a medical group setting (preferred)
  • Strong PC skills with complete proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
