Position Title: Credentials Specialist
Reports To: Human Resources Business Partner, Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Position Summary:
The Credentialing Specialist is responsible for maintaining credentialing compliance for Pacific Shipyards International (PSI). This position will track, monitor, and coordinate training or facilitation for employees and applicable subcontractors to receive job, safety, and mandatory trainings as well as required security accesses.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks and balance priorities
- Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with Business and functional leaders to align on training needs of the organization and its employees and provide updates
- Interacts with third party organizations and base personnel to facilitate gaining security/installation access as required by jobs performed on (applicable) government projects
- Processes installation access requests for employees and subcontractors and tracks/monitors granted access to prevent/minimize loss of access
- Tracks, monitors, and maintains training records, delivering proactive communication to leaders and employees to ensure training requirements are consistently met and within compliance
- Submits Vessel Access List for Navy Projects to corresponding base personnel
- Coordinates and/or facilitates training sessions; organizes scheduling, reserves space for training, ensures that audiovisual equipment is available and operating, distributes materials such as handouts and quizzes, and handles other similar details and tasks.
- Develops or assists with development of and maintains a company-wide training calendar; tracks required initial and refresher training schedules, and coordinates with vendors to deliver training, as needed.
- Coordinates and delivers mandatory trainings as needed.
- Performs other duties or projects, as assigned.
Education/Training/Experience Requirement:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 4 years of related experience, preferably in the marine repair/construction industry, OR Bachelors Degree with a minimum of 1 year related experience, preferably in the marine repair/construction industry
- Previous experience training within a school or business in a classroom setting preferred
- Experience with designing and implementing training programs preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable speaking to individuals and small and large groups. Ability to effectively communicate to employees while conducting training.
- Ability to assess training needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to learn and utilize other software applications
- Ability to effectively operate office equipment, to include desktop computers, calculators, printers, copy machines and telephones.
Qualification/Requirement:
- Must show proof of your legal right to work in the United States
- This position requires US Citizenship due to security clearance required for base access
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)
- Must be able to successfully obtain a Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) Credential to gain access to federally controlled work sites
- All candidates must submit to and pass a post-offer drug screening and background check before employment begins. Failure to complete any of these steps will result in disqualification
- Valid State of Hawaii drivers’ license in good standing, class 3 or higher
- Candidates must have access to reliable transportation to get to work and other job sites on time for the start of a shift.
