Job Description

Entry Level Welder

Job Summary: As an entry level welder, you will be responsible for performing basic welding operations, following instructions and or blueprints, and working as part of a team to ensure high-quality production of metal products. You will work under the supervision of a more experienced welder or a production supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform welding operations using various welding techniques such as MIG, Stick & Air-Arc
  • Ensure proper maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment
  • Inspect welded surfaces and structures to identify defects or deviations from specifications
  • Ensure adherence to safety guidelines and regulations while performing welding tasks
  • Work collaboratively with team members to meet production targets and deadlines
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a vocational or technical program in welding preferred
  • Knowledge of various welding techniques and equipment
  • Attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Physical stamina and dexterity to perform welding tasks for extended periods of time
  • Frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, heat, and outside weather conditions
  • Basic math skills for calculating measurements and dimensions
  • Willingness to learn and improve welding skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as needed
