Accountant

The Accountant will provide accounting support, reporting to the Director of Finance, in the areas of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, and Reconciliations. In addition, Accountant will provide HR & Payroll Support.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Resolve billing discrepancies
  • Prepare weekly disbursement summary for project checks
  • Obtain and Track all certificates of insurance, W9s, and contracts
  • Maintain vendor documentation
    • ensure that all required documents are received from vendors for each project
    • upload and organize documentation in SharePoint and QuickBooks
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • American Express and Home Depot Account Reconciliation
  • Journal Entries
  • Use Tax tracking
  • 1099 Processing
  • Payroll & HR Support
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing
  • Assist with annual financial and insurance audits
  • Weekly update of job cost to project outcome report
  • Other activities as needed

Skills and Experience

  • Four-year degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Management, preferred
  • Minimum of 4 year of accounting experience, required
  • Experience with construction industry job costing, preferred
  • Experience with AIA documents, preferred
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Reports, preferred
  • Must have the ability to prioritize
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong ability to find and correct billing issues
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Knowledge of Procore, preferred
