Job Description

Your ideal “customer” barks a friendly greeting. As much as you can’t live without dogs, you’re also energized and inspired by their (human) parents. You’re more likely to talk about the best dog parks than the latest dining hotspot. The Dodo is your not-so-guilty pleasure - it is your escape from a tough day. If these and other characteristics hit home, we have an opportunity for you at PUPS Pet Club!

In Search of an MSR Who Stands Out From the Pack

Get paid to do what you love. Our clubs support the health and happiness of the dogs we serve and their parents (our members). Our training, daycare, grooming, veterinary care, and other services also support the strongest pup-parent bond. You play an important role; ensuring members’ experiences are pleasant and stress-free. It’s satisfying to forge relationships with dogs and the pet enthusiasts who love them, whether they are frequent-fliers in daycare, students in training classes, or grooming regulars. Another perk: You’ll work with people who are as passionate about pets as you are. No more being pegged as a “crazy cat lady” or “kooky canine guy” (like that’s a bad thing!).

There is no Telling Where PUPS Pet Club Can Take You

Every day is different. No moment is dull. Some days, you’ll ensure our daycare pals get plenty of exercise in safe and clean surroundings. Cross-training abounds. Glued to a stylist’s or behavioral consultant’s every word? Grooming or training may be in your future. We mean it when we say, “This is so much more than a ‘job.’”

Growth Opportunities Are Endless

Pet care is one of the fastest-growing industries, today. When you join PUPS, you have the opportunity to build a career: Stability. Upward mobility. Job security.

Attractive Employee Benefits
PUPS shows how much we value our team. We offer:

  • Competitive pay
  • Career Advancement
  • Health insurance
  • 401 (k)
  • Paid time off (personal, vacation, holidays)
  • Bonuses and rewards
  • Employee referral program
  • Professional development and continuing education
  • Complimentary doggy daycare, overnights, and other discounted services (including 50% off veterinary care!)

The Technical Stuff
Fundamental responsibilities revolve around creating entertaining, clean, and safe experiences. When members call, yours will be the first voice they hear. When Members Visit, Your Face Will be the First Face They See.

Our retail and reception areas also leave a great impression. So, you will keep things tidy. Make reservations. Complete retail transactions. Use your effervescent personality to “upsell” services.
The ideal MSR candidate has the following skills and experience:

  • One to three years of retail, customer service, or sales experience
  • Is articulate
  • Basic computer skills
  • Comfortable around dogs - big and small
  • POS, sales systems
  • Independent decision-making
  • Critical thinking
  • Multitasking and Prioritizing
  • Ability to serve independently or as a team player
  • A “roll up your sleeves” attitude to get things done
  • Prepared to take the good with the bad - like people, dogs poop, and pee

So, MSRs aren’t afraid to get their hands dirty. Big ideas are welcome – Divas are not!
Our culture is built on a strong foundation of “us,” not “I” – our PUPS family (dogs, members, team).
