Quality Control Scientist

SUMMARYPerform inspection of incoming materials and final QA packaging inspections. With regards to this position, this position is responsible to ensure that all relevant inspections are carried out within set procedural guidelines with the intent of releasing a reliable product suitable for its intended purpose and that is capable of producing valid results.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Performs inspection of incoming materials including PTS labeling, test strips, product inserts, literature, and MEMo Chips.* Performs Final QA packaging inspections prior to product being released for shipping.* Performs in-process checks during A1C manufacturing.* Performs disposition of return only RGAs.* Records required data using Microsoft Word and/or Microsoft Excel.* Communicates with QA, purchasing, receiving and warehouse personnel on a regular basis regarding status of inspected materials.* Responsible for storage of incoming nonconforming materials and quarantine of nonconforming materials.* Performs general cleaning as assigned.* Reviews and approves chemical production BOMs and product DHRs/LHRs.QUALIFICATIONSTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
