JOB TITLE: Human Resources Intern REPORTS TO: Senior Director, Internal Operations & HR HOURS: 10-15 per week (flexible based on schedule) Summary: The HR intern supports the HR and Internal Operations team on a number of administrative functions within the department. This role will also help with special projects as available, in order to create and support a hands-on learning experience. Duties and Responsibilities: Export and sort resumes for open positions Schedule and coordinate interviews with HR and hiring teams Prepare new hire packets Maintain PRR's training and subscription database Assist with onboarding new hires Assist with reconciliation of paid time off hours and liability reports Assist with compensation, benefits, and employee information updates in the HRIS program Assist in clerical work as assigned (copying, typing, mailing, filing, etc.) Special projects may include: Assist with building PRR training database Assist with PRR updated Total Rewards program Experience/Education: This is an entry-level position designed for a college student pursuing a degree in the field of Human Resources or someone interested in transitioning into the Human Resources profession.
Skills Required: Ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds Ability to cope with distractions, and handle numerous functions simultaneously Strong written and verbal communications skills Dependability Initiative Strong organizational skills Familiarity and/or ability to learn programs such as MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel and PowerPoint Experience with HRIS and Applicant Tracking systems a plus Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
